The Bible - First Science Textbook
Ever wondered if the Bible is scientifically accurate? Here are 25 topics which the Bible proclaimed centuries before scientists ever discovered them:

1. The Universe had a Beginning: (Genesis 1:1) Starting with the studies of Albert Einstein in the early 1900's and continuing on today, science has confirmed the biblical view that the universe had a beginning. When the Bible was written most people believed the universe was eternal. But science, has proven them wrong, and the Bible correct.
2. The Universe is Composed of Time, Space, Matter, and Energy: (Genesis 1:1-3) The first three verses of Genesis accurately express all known aspects of creation. In Genesis 1:1 we read: “In the beginning (time) God created the heavens (space) and the earth (matter) Then God said, “Let there be light (energy)." No other creation account agrees with this scientific evidence.
3. No New Matter is Being Created: (Genesis 2:2) This is the First Law of Thermodynamics. It states that the total quantity of energy and matter in the universe is a constant. One form of energy or matter may be converted into another, but the total quantity always remains the same. Therefore creation is finished, exactly as God said it was.
4. The Universe is Running Down: (Psalm 102:25-27) This is the Second Law of Thermodynamics or (Entropy). This law states that everything in the universe is running down or decaying. This happened when mankind rebelled against God resulting in the curse. And today, modern science verifies that the universe is in fact "growing old like a garment” (Hebrews 1:11) Evolution contradicts this law.
5. Life only comes from Life: (Genesis 1) This is called the Law of Biogenesis. Scientists observe that life only comes from existing life. Spontaneous generation (the emergence of life from nonliving matter as evolution imagines) has never been observed. All observations have shown that life comes only from life. The theory of evolution again conflicts with this law.
6. Vast number of stars: (Jeremiah 33:22) At a time when less than 5,000 stars were visible to the human eye, God stated that the stars of heaven were innumerable. Not until the 17th century did we glimpse the immensity of our universe with the telescope... Today, astronomers estimate that there are ten thousand billion trillion stars, which is a 1 followed by 25 zeros! Yet, as the Bible states, scientists admit this number may be woefully inadequate.
7. Humans are Made from Earth: (Genesis 2:7) Scientists have now discovered that the human body is comprised of some 28 base and trace elements - all of which are found in the earth.
8. Hydrologic cycle: (Job 36:27-28) Four thousand years ago the Bible declared that God "draws up drops of water, which distill as rain from the mist, which the clouds drop down and pour abundantly on man.".. The ancients observed mighty rivers flowing into the ocean, but they never understood why the sea level never rose. Yet today, meteorologists now understand that the hydrological cycle consists of evaporation, atmospheric transportation, distillation, and precipitation, just like the Bible states.
9. Jet Stream: (Ecclesiastes 1:6) At a time when it was thought that the winds blew straight, the Bible declared, "The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north; The wind whirls about continually, and comes again on its circuit." King Solomon wrote this 3,000 years ago. Yet it was not until World War II that airmen discovered the jet stream circuit.
10. Air has weight: (Job 28:25) It was once thought that air was weightless. Yet 4,000 years ago Job declared that God established "a weight for the wind." And recently, meteorologists have calculated that the average thunderstorm holds thousands of tons of rain and to carry this load, air must have mass or weight.
11. The Earth hangs in Space: (Job 26:7) While other sources declared that the earth sat on the back of an elephant or a turtle, or was held up by Atlas, the Bible alone states what we now know to be true - "He hangs the earth on nothing."
12. Oceans contain springs: (Job 38:16) The ocean is very deep and the ocean floor is in almost total darkness. It would have been impossible for Job to have explored the “springs of the sea." Yet in the 1970's, with the help of deep diving research submarines, oceanographers discovered springs on the ocean floors!
13. Mountains are on the Bottom of the Ocean: (Jonah 2:5-6) Only in the last century have we discovered that there are indeed towering mountains and deep trenches in the depths of the sea.
14. The sea has paths and channels: (Psalm 8:8) Three thousand years ago the Bible described the "paths of the seas." In the 19th century Matthew Maury, the father of oceanography after reading Psalm 8, researched and discovered ocean currents that follow specific paths through the seas! Utilizing his data, marine navigators have since reduced the time required to travel the seas by many days.
15. Life is in the Blood: (Leviticus 17:11) Up until 120 years ago, sick people were “bled" to make them better yet many died as a result (George Washington). Today we know that healthy blood is necessary to bring life-giving nutrients to every cell in the body.
16. Sexual Immorality is Dangerous to Your health: (1 Corinthians 6:18) The Bible warns that "he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Much data now confirms what the Bible has been saying, any sexual relationship outside of marriage is unsafe.
17. Disease can be spread by physical contact and Quarantines: (Leviticus 13) Long before man understood the principles of quarantine, God commanded the Israelites to isolate those with a contagious disease until they were cured. When dealing with disease, clothes and bodies should be washed under running water (Leviticus 15:13) For centuries people naively washed in standing water. But today we recognize the need for fresh water to wash away germs.
18. Sanitation: (Deuteronomy 23:12-13) Some 3,500 years ago God commanded His people to have a place outside the camp where they could relieve themselves and bury their waste. Up until World War I, more soldiers died from disease than war because they did not isolate human waste.
19. Atomic Fission (2 Peter 3:10-12) Scripture states that "the elements will melt with fervent heat” when the earth and the heavens are "dissolved" by fire. Today we understand that if the elements of the atom are loosed, there would be an enormous release of heat and energy (radiation).
20. Light can be divided: (Job 38:24) Sir Isaac Newton studied light and discovered that white light is made up of seven colors, which can be "parted” and then recombined. Science confirmed this four centuries ago, yet God declared this four millennia ago!
21. Light travels in a path: (Job 38:19) Light is said to have a "way” or a "path" in the Bible but until the 17th century it was believed that light was transmitted instantaneously. But we now know that light is a form of energy that travels in a straight line or a "path" at 186,000 miles per second.
22. God Created all Mankind from One, Blood (Acts 17:26) A 1995 study of a section of Y chromosomes from 38 men from different ethnic groups from around the world prove the Biblical teaching that we all come from one man. (Adam)
23. Genetic Mixing of Different Seeds is Forbidden: (Leviticus 19:19) The Bible warns against mixing seeds - as this will result in an inferior or dangerous crops. There is now growing evidence that unnatural, genetically modified crops may be harmful.
24. Olive Oil and Wine Useful on Wounds: (Luke 10:34) Jesus told the Samaritan man to bandage the wounded traveler's wounds with olive oil and wine. Today we know that wine contains ethyl alcohol which is a good disinfectant and olive oil is also a good disinfectant, as well as a skin moisturizer, protector, and soothing lotion... Yet, during the Middle Ages and right on up till the early 20h century, millions of people died because they did not know to treat and protect open wounds.
25. Laughter Promotes Healing: (Proverbs 17:22) Recent studies confirm what King Solomon wrote 3,000 years ago, “A merry heart does good, like medicine." It is now known that laughter reduces levels of certain stress hormones, which helps us to balance to our immune systems, which helps our bodies to fight off disease.
You have to ask the question: Did a bunch of men, centuries apart from each other, just happen to guess twenty-five scientific truths? Sounds a little like Evolution.
Here is the answer: God, who created all things including science, also created the Bible.

John 3:16-21 → "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, died for Humanity’s sins and to prove it, rose again from the grave.

1 John 1:9 → If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:9 → ...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
You are drowning; Jesus is reaching. What happens next is up to you!
