The Call
The King bids you welcome and
extends his hand to thee.
I am a Christian. A messenger of Jesus Christ.
That sounds like a bold claim, but it is the truth.
All Christians are messengers of Christ, and
they are accountable to send the right message
to the world.
My message to you:
6,000 years ago, God, his son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit created the world.
And approximately 2,000 years ago, God sent His only Son to the Earth, to die for humanity’s sins, to pay our (your’s and mine) debts to God. And three days later, Jesus raised himself from the dead. So that who ever believes in Jesus Christ, and confesses their sin to Him will be saved, from eternal damnation.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
No amount of good works, deeds, money, or Christian friends or relatives will clear your slate or pray you into Heaven.
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Only a confession to the all-loving Son of God, the Vigilant Shepard.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
In other words:
All who have hated a person are murderers. All who have coveted someone’s possessions are thieves. All who have lusted after another person are adulterers.
We are all those things!
So can a criminal work off his crimes?
Can a murderer bear both his and another’s death sentence?
Only the Sovereign of the Universe can pardon such crimes.
The following might look long, but take the time to read it. It will be the best thing you will have read all day.
Luke 23:39-43 - Then one of the criminals who were hanged (on a Roman cross) blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” 40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
