About
Greetings, I am Josiah Yarbrough, a proud citizen of the Volunteer State.
I am the not-so-old fellow behind
The Elderly Cartographer & Woodwright.
Why I started:
I am a great lover of maps and wood (living or dead). When I was young, I would analyze local maps, department store kiosk maps, and Where's Waldo scenes. And for as long as I can remember, I drew cut-away scenes of vikings storing their loot in sea caves, and miners digging up troves of gold, silver, and other materials.
Then I stumbled upon something else; my enthusiasm for wood. Just for fun, I took a garden stake and turned it into a short dueling sword. Then it occurred to me that I could make most anything, so I did. See my stores of tangible goods.
